Spark Plugs

I found changing the spark plugs a very easy job. It was standard operation. If you can find a auto repair book it should be easy to apply to the Nubira. I was able to buy the spark plugs at a local part store. The only requirement was the tools, you will need. You will need a tool to measure the spark plug spacing(more on this in repair manuals and the Nubiras owner manual) a kit can be purchased at many parts stores or online. These tools can be bought at any part store they are not to expensive.

Fixing Scratches

I had a few scratches to get rid off and I had no touch up paint. I found this product called Scratch X and it worked really well. I got rid of the scratch and saved my the cost of looking for touch up paint.

Last Dealer Standing in Ontario

Since I bought my Daewoo back in 99 I have seen about 6 dealerships turn into 1. I think some of the other dealers have changed their names, but they might still find parts and service the car. The one dealer that is active and has even advertised in local media is Daewoo Dixie 401.

Parts

I have been making a list of places to get parts for the Daewoo Nubira from Canada the US and wherever else I can find a source. There are some common parts the you can find online or at most major part stores. In Canada you can get the following from Part Source or Canadian Tire stores.

Break Pads Front and rear
Spark Plugs
All light bulbs should be standard
Oil changes can be done anywhere (The only thing they might not have is the air filter if that is dirty)

If anyone else knows other parts that can be bought at these to major Canadian stores please let us know.

Daewoo Nubira

This is the start of my Daewoo Nubira blog. I started this blog for owners of this now hard to service vehicle. I bought my car in 1999 at the launch of Daewoo in Canada and have to mix and match the service on the car. I will be adding links where to get parts and service for the Nubira and look forward to getting other owners to share information.
