Brakes
This weekend I spent over $300.00 to get all the parts to do my front and back brakes. The front brake pads were easy to find from Canadian Tire and a few other parts stores also carry the front pads. The back shoes were a bit more of a problem. I had to get the back break shoes from the dealer and a hardware kit, which was a bunch of springs and coils for $42.oo a bag and I need 2 so this brought my hardware bill to almost $100.00. The break shoes at the dealer were $55.00 sold as a pair. Total bill at the dealer was $211.00 the front pads at Canadian Tire were $106.00 with tax for a better set of pads. I will be taking some pictures of the work so anyone else needing to do their brakes can kind of get an idea if you are doing it yourself or with the help of handy friend like I am doing. The back shoes from the dealer were shipped in a GM authentic parts box. I am not sure if you get the part number if you would be able to order these parts from a GM dealer.
